| I’ll be teaching this 3-D Concrete Sculpture for Mosaic August 2 - Aug 6. Mosaic sculpture can be monumental and suitable for the outdoors yet surprisingly lightweight. Participants will learn how to carve their sculptural armature from foam, adding reinforcement when necessary, how to prepare and use various cements, concrete and fiberglass mesh. Resources for design and display, as well as tools for shaping and carving foam and concrete will be presented. We’ll be finishing with a basic mosaic technique using primarily recycled stained glass and found objects. The workshop will include lectures, demonstrations and hands-on work time. HOW TO SIGN UP FOR A WORKSHOP
To sign up for a workshop, let me know by email or phone, and I’ll email you a registration form. A 50% deposit is required per workshop when you snail mail me the form. Please make your check payable to Lizz Van Saun. The balance is due before or at the first workshop. When the workshop is full, I’ll let you know by email and will deposit your check at that time. There is a $50 cancellation fee. If the workshop is filled when I receive your registration, I will hold your check and ask you by email if you’d like to be waitlisted. If a spot becomes available, you’ll be enrolled in the order of requests received. Workshops with fewer than four participants will be cancelled and checks returned in full.

Dear Lizz,
I’m very interested in your 3-D concrete sculpture for mosaic class that I saw advertised in the carving studio in Rutland brochure. Unfortunately I will not be here during that period of time. Will you be giving the course in another location at another time? I have a HUGE box of glazed ceramic stuff ready for mosaic and have been wanting to use it on large outdoor sculpture. Please let me know…
